Eskisehir-Istanbul section, the second phase of Ankara-Istanbul High Speed Railway Line, was started simultaneously with the Ankara-Eskisehir section.

The high speed railway line will reduce the travel time between Ankara and Istanbul down to 3.5 hours in the first stage and then to 3 hours in a short term. An average of 7.5 million passengers will be served between Ankara and Istanbul. The share of railways, which is 10% now, in passenger transportation will increase to 78%. With the inauguration of YHT, the travel time between Ankara and Gebze will be also reduced to 2 hours and 30 minutes. Travel time to other cities in combined transportation will be shortened. With the line to be integrated into Marmaray, seamless passenger transportation will be possible to from Asia to Europe.

In the short run over the last few years, China has made great investments in high speed railways with the initiative of the national railway company CRCC and reached high speed values and obtained the broadest high speed railway transportation of the world by far via the construction progress experienced.

CRCC (CHINA RAILWAY CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION) undertook this mega project in Turkey and completed in a short time.

Within this project, Tur Insaat carried out works of tamping, regulating, measuring and welding (13.059 METERS) for CRCC Company.
