26 KM TRACK RENOVATION IN TEPEKOY SELCUK SECTION AND COMPLEMENTARY WORK OF SECOND TRACK CONSTRUCTION; SURROUNDING WALL CONSTRUCTION, SWITCH POINT WORKS, ELECTRIFICATION WORKS OF EXISTING LINE AND REHABILITATION WORKS OF THE INFRASTRUCTURE AND SUPERSTRUCTURE OF THE EXISTING LINE

Selcuk-Torbali (Tepekoy) line was put into revenue service with a ceremony organised in Selcuk/ İzmir on September 08th, Friday with the participation of Prime Minister Mr. Binali YILDIRIM.

Torbali Station, started to be constructed within the scope of Izmir-Aydin railway line in 1856, experienced a historic day. With the project, which is a first in Turkey, realized with the cooperation of local administration and public economic enterprise, the light rail line of 80 km between Aliaga and Menderes was extended to 110 km from Cumaovasi to Torbalı – Tepekoy.

Within the scope of this historic project, TUR INSAAT successfully completed the works of rehabilitation of the existing railway line, surrounding wall construction, culverts, engineering structures and railway superstructure and electrification.
